ThisWeekLocal was conceived by me (Alex Carpenter) purely out of necessity.

I was tired of missing artists I love because I didn't remember their name when I checked venue calendars.

I wanted the ability to skim through a playlist to pick out sounds that I like rather than names that I recognized.
